Brittlebank park

We went and got dinner last night at Black bean cafe on James Island (Reese had a chicken, citrus beet salad) and then headed to brittlebank park. I loved it there, it was right on the water and the sun was just starting to set. I love Charleston! If we had some family here it would be perfect.
Side note--I have been running and dieting and I think I can finally see results in this picture. Sometimes you just can't tell you are losing weight (double chin still showing up in pics ugh). Hopefully, I lose enough weight that I can get pregnant again and pack it on. Sigh, womanhood.

Baby bday party

Hi!! This weekend my neighbor Sarah had our mommy group over for a bday celebration. All the babies have turned one or are about to turn one. It was great getting everyone together and they all loved the cupcakes. That was actually the only time I could get Reese out of my arms and sitting with the other kiddos. She is naked in these pics except her diaper b/c I didn't want her to get chocolate icing on her white party dress. Come to find out, when we arrived I somehow brushed her dress against a tree and stained it with pollen. Yep, it's stained, typical!!

Old backyard

Ok, so this picture is deceiving, all our grass is alive in this pic, it's a few years old. We had to get it fixed b/c all the grass was killed by fungus, yep fungus. Our lawn was not at all level so water would accumulate, not be able to drain and kill the grass. You can really see how much grass we had to add!

Ok--here it is all finished. Well, we haven't bought the furniture yet or added pots or anything but all the work is done!!

Weekend

We went to a new restaurant/bar by the stono river. Great views! We even saw dolphins go by us, they were in a creek so it was pretty shallow and we got a great view of them as they came out of the water. Reese is starting to embrace all her toys at once! You can see her clutching onto a little book in the last pic, she is also holding onto her sippy cup and a little toy zebra.

Spring has sprung in Charleston!

March is here!!

I can't believe March is here!! This week is my last 40hr week of work, hooray!! Next week I work one day and then my Mom is here for 6 days! I can't wait. We are going to tidy up and freshen up Reese's playroom, go see the Azaleas in Summerville, attend a block party on St. Pattys day and have fun!!

Also, we are in the process of getting our whole yard landscaped. It was a disaster before, I basically should be paying my neighbor's mortgage since they were forced to view the sinkhole in my backyard. Now it is all grass, and all the dead grass (killed by a fungus!!) was replaced. Also, they moved around plants and putting in a deck and a fence! It feels so grown up to be dropping such a terrifying amount of money on landscaping. It's a also scary and a little sad to be spending so much money on dirt and grass. Yes, we had to BUY dirt (to fill the sink hole). But when all is said and done and we are enjoying the backyard I know it will be worth it.
