Weekend

We went to a new restaurant/bar by the stono river. Great views! We even saw dolphins go by us, they were in a creek so it was pretty shallow and we got a great view of them as they came out of the water. Reese is starting to embrace all her toys at once! You can see her clutching onto a little book in the last pic, she is also holding onto her sippy cup and a little toy zebra.

Spring has sprung in Charleston!

March is here!!

I can't believe March is here!! This week is my last 40hr week of work, hooray!! Next week I work one day and then my Mom is here for 6 days! I can't wait. We are going to tidy up and freshen up Reese's playroom, go see the Azaleas in Summerville, attend a block party on St. Pattys day and have fun!!

Also, we are in the process of getting our whole yard landscaped. It was a disaster before, I basically should be paying my neighbor's mortgage since they were forced to view the sinkhole in my backyard. Now it is all grass, and all the dead grass (killed by a fungus!!) was replaced. Also, they moved around plants and putting in a deck and a fence! It feels so grown up to be dropping such a terrifying amount of money on landscaping. It's a also scary and a little sad to be spending so much money on dirt and grass. Yes, we had to BUY dirt (to fill the sink hole). But when all is said and done and we are enjoying the backyard I know it will be worth it.

Reese's 1st birthday party

Hi!! Reese turned one last week, too unbelievable. This year has flown by, life before Reese moved pretty quickly so it's no wonder.

We went to NOVA and had a party at Grandma Coco's house. We had so many come to the party, some from NC, some from PA. It was wonderful to see all our friends and family and to see all the little ones interacting. Too cute! These are pics of her being sung to and smashing cake in her face!

I can make holding your hand seem like the most important thing in the world when you're scared... I can make your child breathe when they stop... I can help your father survive a heart attack... I can make myself get up at 0430AM... to make sure.........your mother has the medicine she needs to live... I work all day to save the lives of strangers... I make my family wait for dinner until I know your family member is taken care of... I make myself skip lunch so that I can make sure that everything I did for your wife today is charted... I make myself work weekends and holidays because people don't just get sick Monday thru Friday... Today, I might save your life... How much do I make? All I know is, I MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
